Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Book Review – Puffling and the Egg
This is a wonderful, engaging book with fabulous illustrations about a puffling who finds an egg and looks to find its nest; it meets some challenges such as the windy weather along the way to fulfil its quest. Match the Shadow 02
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes, SEN pupils or pupils who need some practice on visual discrimination. The resource, based on modes of transport, aims to help pupils to use visual cues to match each item to its shadow or silhouette. There are twelve items for pupils to match.

This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes who are learning the names of colours as Gaeilge. They are printed one poster per A4 page and the word label is in all lower case letters. 11 colours are included in the display pack which contains all of the usual colour names that pupils should know.

This 21-page phonics booklet is aimed at infant pupils or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on phonics. It is based on their knowledge of CVC words with medial A. The resource could be used as a teaching tool or alternatively, it could be used as a form of practice and/or assessment. Unusual Art 01
As well as creating pieces of art, pupils are required under each of the six Strands of the Irish Visual Arts curriculum to look at and respond to art created by others. These four lessons give pupils opportunities to “look at, enjoy and make a personal response” to unusual art created by four different artists using four unusual mediums to create their art.
